Jasmine tea is tea with added jasmine flowers. It originates from the time of the Song Dynasty (960–1279). Tea leaves are harvested in the spring and stored until early summer when fresh Jasmine flowers are in bloom.

Normally, jasmine tea is based on green tea or white tea. The resulting flavor of jasmine tea is subtly sweet.

Jasmine tea may be prepared in a standard full-sized teapot, glass or cups. Cover with relatively warm water [80-90C] and infuse for 5 or 10 seconds, adjust time, temperature, and quantity according to your personal preference.
